CHNL architects is a young office, founded by Christof Fankhauser (CH) and Ivo Verboon (NL). After both being employed at a Delft architecture office for several years, and having realised some designs of their own hand, they decided to merge their efforts and start an office together.
Combining contemporary schooling with a broad experience in both modern as traditional architecture, our work leads to a liberal form of design. Due to this freedom, the projects are more than a self-evident result of the assignment.
Realised projects are the product of interaction between client, surroundings and designer. By this, equal inquieries will result in different designs. As many disciplines, the traditional building practice is subject to change. Improving access to information of both private as institutional clients results in an increasing influence of these to the building practice. This obliges the architect unprecedentedly to master all aspects of the profession and awareness of its development.
