The multi usable space in the VillaCratego has been reshaped into a elderly day care centre. The centreis formed by two dwellings,providing a living fortwelve seniors. The complexity of this typology is generally highercompared to regular housing. This is caused by higher legislation standards towards comfort levels and evacuation means. Next to this, the building was to complywith the standards of theCollege Bouw and from the care centre itself.
The main challenge with thiscentre was the fact that the design of thebuildingin which the dwellings had to be fitted was basically unchangeable. The contractor was pouring the concrete structureas the first design steps were being taken.To realise a well functioning centre within these conditions, we realized the plan in an extremely short timethough intensive cooperation with both our client and the contractor. The building permit was granted only 6 months after receiving the order.
