Land en Zeezicht

The village Kamperland in the South-West of the Netherlands, is situated between the city Goes and the Oosterschelde sea barrier. For genarations, the Koning family is the owner of the agricultural enterprise Land- en Zeezicht. (Land- and Seaview) Originally, this farm was run form the monumental farmbuilding and it's adjacent barn and stabels. The farmhouse and the barn were built in 1823 and have the status of Rijksmonument (national monument). Winthin the modern buisiness activity, the barn has lost it's function and the owner has started probing for new destination for the 7530 sq ft building. Currently, in cooperation with the family, we are researching the implication of several new functions within this buiding. The current studies concern the sheltering of a creative centre, which consists of an artist's residence, a studio and an exposition space of 2690 sq. ft. Next to this centre, six 800 sq. ft. commercial spaces will be realised. Located on the site of the former stabels, temporary commercial spaces will be erected and the former servants quarters will be rebuilt to function as guest housing.
